I’m currently most enthusiastic about hiking, gravel and road biking, swimming, running, and bouldering, and I’d love to find the time to really get back into CrossFit. In general, I enjoy most outdoor activities, and have tried a number of sports on the water (sailing, canoe polo, whitewater kajaking) in the snow (alpine and XC skiing, snowboarding), and activities on various types of wheels (biking, skateboarding, off-road driving).
Some highlights in recent years have definitely been summiting Zugspitze in the snow, ascending Mount Toubkal in the Atlas Mountains, camping in the Sahara Desert, and finishing my first-ever (sprint) triathlon. Currently I’m training for the Ironman 51.50 Erkner, Germany.

On weekends, I’m most often found hiking, camping, or bikebacking somewhere around the Black and Palatinate Forests. When not outdoors, I like experimenting in the kitchen and will probably never say no to a nice glass of wine with friends.
Books I’ve enjoyed lately:
- The Vegetarian by Han Kang
- Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
- Babel, or the Necessity of Violence by R. F. Kuang
- Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
- Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
