SemDH 2024 - The First International Workshop for Semantic Digital Humanities

We held the first version of the SemDH workshop on May 27, 2024. It took place in Hersonissos, Crete (Greece) and was co-located with ESWC 2024. The program contained a variety of full-paper presentations and a poster session for all accepted short papers. Out of 16 submissions, we were able to accept 6 full papers and 6 short papers. The keynote was given by Marieke van Erp (Digital Humanities Lab, KNAW Humanities Cluster Netherlands) on “Knowing what you don’t know - on gaps, quality issues and other challenges in DH use cases”. The panel discussion provided a platform for sharing and discussing challenges from the diverse and interdisciplinary viewpoints from the Semantic Web, Cultural Heritage, and Digital Humanities communities.
